How can we help you?

How do I use the search filters?

When searching for your next rental property on Zumper, you can use many filters to refine your search.

To start, you can filter by the most critical information, including bedroom count, price, location, pet policy, and square footage, found on the navigation bar above our map.

Advanced Search Filters

Zumper also offers advanced search filters to help you find a home that meets your specific needs, found on our nav bar and in the “More” button, such as:

  • Commute Time: Enter your school or work address and your preferred travel method (drive, bike, transit, or walk) to see listings within your desired travel time. You can add up to 3 different commutes at once, and specific travel times will show directly on the listings.
  • Property Type: Refine your search by apartment, condo, single-family home, townhomes, and more.
  • Popular Amenities: Search for properties with air conditioning, in-unit laundry, parking, dishwashers, and other appliances.
  • Deals: Look for rent specials, no move-in fees, recent price reductions, or utility fees included.
  • Lease Term: Search for apartments with year-long or shorter-term leases.
  • Square Feet: Filter for apartments with your desired size.
  • Highest Rated: View our highest rated properties.

Location & Neighborhood Tools

Zumper also allows you to search by location & neighborhood using these features:

  • Map-Based Filtering: Navigate directly on our map by zooming in/out to see where a property is located and narrow down by a specific neighborhood. You can also refresh the map as you move through neighborhoods to highlight new properties.
  • Points of Interest: See how close a property is to local schools, restaurants & shopping, parks, public transit options & more
